I Am Thankful for War.

Now, it’s not everyday you hear someone express gratitude for something synonymous with widespread suffering – and I am deeply aware.

There is war among us. It is the media, our families, it is even in our own mind. Sometimes, these contentions of force can be combined. I’ve been at war with friends, enemies, perceptions, things I cannot undo. So I picked up tiny pieces of gratitude and underwent major adjustments in my attitude. Without the rain, there would be no flowers. Without the fight, there is no discovery of your power. Without reflection, gaining perspective becomes long overdue. That is why I say:

I am thankful for war, aren’t you?
